Handypiece, the portable shearer

Handypiece – Invented by a farmer for farmers.
The need for a portable shearing/clipping machine that one could use on stock in the yards, prompted David Short from Manawatu to use his previous car building skills to invent the Handypiece back in 2008.
Main benefit of the Handypiece is that you can work anywhere at any time with NO MAINS POWER required. Farmers of all abilities are able to keep on top of those dirty jobs resulting in better animal health and all round farming efficiency.
Being a traditional handpiece, it takes all standard combs & cutters of any brand the user chooses.
The Handypiece is the Rolls-Royce version of portable shearing and tail trimming equipment, and yet is still available at a reasonable price.
Often said to team Handypiece, “I don’t want to ever have to drag another ewe over the board again, now I’m in the swing of using the Handypiece”.
The Handypiece Pro has the added feature of variable speed from 2600 – 3500rpm. Dagging, crutching and trimming cows tails operate well at a mid-speed of 2800 rpm, while anyone wanting to get a nice cut while shearing can wind it all of the way up to 3500rpm. Alpaca and Goat shearers can use a traditional handpiece that is slim to hold but now with the speed that they can reduce to the same as a clipper. The brushless motor means the battery lasts even longer as it is possible to crutch up to 300-400 sheep from one charge.
The Handypiece also can be customised for left hand users or a model made with the cord out of the middle of the motor, which is especially designed for situations where the Handypiece will be used by right & left hand users.
During the 2023 Cashmere Shearing season the kit will come with two Lithium batteries
(2 x 6 amp hour) battery charger, belt, holster and pouch all made from heavy duty leather, 5mtr extension cord, completed with a purposely designed carry kit bag and FREE freight to your door
